Air Drop on my kids iPad minis and my daughters iPhone XR not working

I can’t access Air Drop on any of these devices.

They are both greyed out in the drop down menu, and when I select them to change it the button isn’t doing anything.

I’ve turned off the Bluetooth/WiFi on all devices. I’ve switched back on Bluetooth/WiFi on all devices.

I've updated all devices and switched them off and on again, but no joy.

If I go into the settings menu, I can’t see any option for airdrop at all.

All our other apple stuff works fine. It’s got the button there on all devices so it’s not that they’re too old...

the iPhone XR is only 6 months old...

Can someone tell me what the **** is going on because my head is done in🤪

It sounds as though you're seeing the option to toggle AirDrop On/Off is showing as gray and is unable to be toggled. You're in the right place to seek a solution and I'd be happy to assist.
