Can I connect ipad to a wifi device and have internet through 4g?

Each day more and more devices can be connected and controlled via iphone or ipad through a wifi direct connection.

Is there a way to keep having internet through 4g if connected to a non internet providing device like a gopro, for example, or eventually keep having internet from the iphone (in a non cellular ipad) and still connect to a device?

Thank you.

Yes. You’ll need a Cellular and WiFi model of iPad; WiFi Only iPad models do not allow the same level of flexibility.

To take you GoPro as an excellent example, you can connect to (and control) your GoPro camera over a WiFi connection - and maintain you internet connection over your Cellular connection.

This connection setup is easily achieved using iPhone - and just as easy if you have an active Cellular plan for iPad.
