I just replaced my iPhone X with an 11 Pro Max, but after restoring the new phone from backup, my HomePods will no longer take personal requests (answer phone, set reminders...). They both tell me I have to "turn on Location Sharing in my settings." Thing is, location sharing is already on. I tried turning it off, then back on, but still no luck.
What can I do?

Thank you!!! That did it. Actually, location services was on in the HomePods, but i turned it off and on again and now it works.
when you’re asking it something, is your phone (or device linked with it) operational and airplane mode isn’t off?
I would try resetting network settings on your iPhone or whatever device you used to set up HomePod.
In settings - general - reset network settings. Reboot your wifi modem for good measure aswell. Ensure location settings are also on in said device.

I also rebooted the network. I haven’t reset network settings yet, but when I reboot the HomePod it starts taking personal requests again (for how long I don’t know). This time, I tried rebooting both HomePods at the same time, and so far it’s working.
