my screentime keeps telling me my password is wrong when it isnt

so i've been able to change my password once, and when i went to put it in to get rid of screen time it told me it was wrong, but i had just changed it. and now when i go to change it, it just adds it to the list of times i've failed an attempt to unlock. I don't know what else to do.
