Please ensure you can record videos using both cameras: Take videos with your iPhone camera - Apple Support

When you playback your video, check the volume too: Adjust the volume on iPhone - Apple Support

You have two options. The volume buttons work differently while listening to things: "When you’re on the phone or listening to songs, movies, or other media, the buttons on the side of iPhone adjust the audio volume. Otherwise, the buttons control the volume for the ringer, alerts, and other sound effects. You can also use Siri to turn the volume up or down."

Or you can lock the volume buttons: "Lock the ringer and alert volumes in Settings

1. Go to Settings .
2. Tap Sounds & Haptics (supported models) or Sounds (other models).
3. Turn off Change with Buttons."
