How do you get High Sierra to upgrade from El Capitan. The apple site sends you to the App store and the App store says it is not available in US stores.

How can you upgrade from El Capitan to High Sierra. The apple help site sends you to the App store for the High Sierra download but the App store says it is not available in US stores.

iMac 27″, OS X 10.10

It really does work, but use Safari as your browser, Firefox does not work.


Click on this link, How to upgrade to macOS High Sierra - Apple Support


go to Section 4 and click on Get macOS High Sierra.


I know you may have tried this before bit as I say use Safari as your browser.


If the App Store says Open then it is detecting a previous download of the install app

go to the Applications folder locate Install macOS High Sierra.app.

Move it to the Trash, empty the Trash.

Restart, click on the link again, the App Store should say ‘Get' or 'Download'.
