Can't remove item from dock

How do I remove the Adobe icon from my dock? I have downloaded an Adobe product that my old Mac can't support.

iMac, OS X 10.11

One way is to just click on hold and drag the Adobe icon from your Dock.

Another way is to Control (right) click on the Adobe icon on your Dock, hover over Options and select Remove from Dock.
