Adding a payment method

I’ve tried multiple times to add a payment method to my phone but even after I save it it doesn’t actually show what do I do

Are you following these instructions?

Change, add, or remove Apple ID payment methods - Apple Support

If you are and it isn’t working, try signing out of in the App Store and iTunes Settings, restart your phone, sign in again and then try adding the card again.
