How to add AAC files to iPhone

I have a Harry Potter Audiobook in AAC format in my iTunes library, but it only appears on my iPhone (when it’s connected to iTunes) in the Audiobook tab in iTunes on my iPhone. It doesn’t appear on the phone itself. How can I get it to appear on the phone so I can add it to a custom playlist? I previously had it on my iPhone 7 but then accidentally deleted it off of there and was unable to transfer it to my iPhone 11 one I decided to add music to it. Please help.

See Sync your iPhone, iPad, or iPod using your computer - Apple Support. Audiobooks are synced to the device using the Books tab of the device when connected to iTunes.

You need to click this device icon first.

Once clicked there should be a section to choose which audiobooks get synced to your device. On the device they should be available in the Books app rather than Music.

All the content that you add to your device should be in your library. See Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device - Apple Community if that isn't the case.

Here’s a screenshot of the Audiobook Playlist on my iPhone in iTunes. I tried copying the files in the Audiobook playlist to the Books playlist above it with no result. What do I do?

Is there any way to sync the AB without iTunes removing all music on the phone? I’d prefer not to have to add any and all music back on to the phone if I sync the AB.
