green screen on iphone XS

just today my iphone screen flashed brightly, then turned dark green, with the color rolling down the screen like a curtain. have tried to hard reset no luck.


I have a rugged case and screen cover.


any ideas what has caused it and what to do?

This could be due to a failing display. You may try to Force ReStart it and see if that helps. If not then have your device examined at the Apple Store or at an Authorized Service Center

Force Restart the phone:

  • Press and quickly release Volume UP button
  • Press and quickly release Volume DOWN button
  • Press and Hold the SIDE button until an Apple logo appears then release the Side button (Can take up to 20 seconds. DO NOT release Side Button when invited to Slide Power OFF)
