My Apple Watch doesn’t count calories and exercise

Hi

I did about one hour road cycling and used the Outdoor Cycle Workout option on my Apple Watch 3. It just count 80 active calories and 6 exercise. So I recalibrated my watch.

Today I did outdoor cycling for an hour again and I ran Strava on my watch and I wanted the Watch to measure my exercise and active calorie count.

I've tried cycling without starting a Workout. The Watch does not measuring the exercise and calories burnt was about 80.

What should I do that my watch count active calorie and exercise properly while outdoor cycling?

Hello shermineh444,

I understand you are having issues with your watch tracking your exercise and calories properly. Sorry this has happened, I am happy to help. First you will want to begin by making sure your iPhone and watch are up to date. You can find steps for that here:

Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Update your Apple Watch

Other things to try include restarting both devices, and possible unpairing your watch and pair it back up. Instructions are below:

Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Restart your Apple Watch - Apple Support

Directions to unpair and pair watch:

Unpair your Apple Watch and iPhone - Apple Support

Set up your Apple Watch - Apple Support

Le me know if you need anything else.

Thanks!
