Question about email addresses I don’t know pop up when I reset one of my devices

I hope this is the correct thread to ask this, I’m wondering if there’s a way to remove email addresses I don’t know that are somehow attached to my account. Say, when I get a new device, brand new or preowned, go through the normal setup progress, and then I get to sign in to iCloud account part - I sign in - only to have the same window pop up after with an email address I don’t know already typed in. Has this happen to anyone else? Is there a way I can remove them?

I'm not sure what you're referring to exactly but that unknown email address may belong to you an be one of your Apple email address aliases.
