Will my Apple 5 watch be damaged if I forget to turn on Water Lock or a water fitness activity before I dive into the pool?

Turning on water lock just stops accidental screen touches whilst your in the water,it doesn't have any effect on the watches water resistance.
Water lock should turn on automatically when you enter the water and no your watch will not be damaged.
