I need an article about how to set up activate with your wireless carrier.

Apple says you can activate your phone remotely. I specified Verizon as my carrier when I bought the phone. Verizon now says you must come in the store to activate. Who is correct.

Changing phones is always a beat-down but this time Apple is a mess and way off the mark with the information they are putting out.

They need to do better!

Both are correct.

Generally, you can activate your iPhone remotely. However, if you satisfy both the following conditions, an exception occurs.

  • You purchase an iPhone locked to Verizon; and
  • You choose not to enter your setup information when you commit to this purchase.
