macbook help

I bought a used macbook today and it has a password but i do not know the password or how to factory reset the macbook

To do this you can boot into âž” macOS Recovery Mode by using COMMAND+OPTION+R Keys and then use the macOS UTILITIES option to erase the entire drive. You would then proceed to reinstall the macOS.
