install security update again?

On May 29th I installed security update 2020-003 10.13.6

On June 2nd I got a notification that I have one update to install.

When I go to the App Store, I see that it is the same security update that I had installed previously.

Why does this happen?

Do I have to install the security update again, or should I ignore it?

Thanks.

Security Update 2020-003 was released end of May a few days later Apple released a supplemental update to that.

It may be that to spare their blushes Apple just kept the same name.

You can download the standalone version here,

To check for installed downloads click on the top left of your screen

click on About This Mac and then on System Report

go down to Software and click on Installations

click on Install Date twice so the most recent installs are listed first.

The updates themselves will contain many files that are installed in various locations on your mac.
