Why won't my new smart keyboard folio with ipad pro 11/2 make a document in Pages app --closing document with each strike on space bar?

See if this will fix it:
Setting >Accessibility > Keyboards > full Keyboard Access > commands
remove “space bar” from the “activate” field.

OMG that worked! Thanks so much. I am 71 y.o. female not tech savvy and just purchased both a new iphoneSE and ipad Pro 11/2gen with smart folio keyboard. Main reason I purchased the ipad was to hopefully replace my laptop. My niece said 'pages' would be same for me as Windows Word. Needless to say when I attempted to make a 'new document' and could not get past the first word...I was quite frustrated.
