Help: Small crack on Macbook Pro 16 display screen

I have reviewed the image that you posted and still recommend that you let the screen run its lifecycle until such point that it begins to bother you esthetically. At that time you can consider getting a new screen which will be expensive.

I know that you MacBook Pro 16 is probably still under warranty however Apple will not cover the screen repair under that warranty because this damage/crack will probably fall into user negligence. I still encourage you to have the screen examined at the Apple Store or at an Authorized Service Center and confirm our assumptions.

If you have AppleCare+ it will cover a large portion of accidental damage.

The MacBook Pro is less than a year old and therefore is still under warranty. Take advantage of that warranty. If convenient then have it examined for your peace of mind.

I believe that it will last its normal lifecycle.

From your description, it appears that the concern is only esthetic. Your MacBook Pro is performing correctly and the display is acceptable, correct? I mean that there are no discolored spots or pixels around the crack that hinder performance.. correct?

What did the cat do, exactly, to damage it?

I can't imagine that a cat would be able to exert enough force to do that unless it knocked something heavy onto it, or pushed it onto the floor.

Not to be used as an approval to use older MacBook Pros as Cat Food or Feline Fodder. This reminds of the time when the Dog ate my homework and the teacher told me to start feeding my dog some real dog food or Canine Fodder. Ha!
