My back is not working anymore on the connected Time capsule. The message popup is

I had the same issue and was able to resolve it by following the Apple support procedure to Verify an AirPort Time Capsule detailed here: https://support.apple.com/en-ca/HT202174#verify
Hope this works for others too.
In Time Machine remove some older backups.
