New Apple ID iMessages

If I get a new Apple ID will it backup my iMessages left on my Computer/iPhone? I can’t change the Apple ID email since it’s a iCloud so I’m looking at creating a new Apple ID.

If yo get a new ID, you won't be able to access messages from your previous ID. If you create a new ID, you lose access to some of your data and all your previous purchases. Is there a problem with your current ID?

The iMessages will stay with the Apple ID. You can’t transfer them over.

Thank you for the reply. I changed my last name and wanted to change my Apple ID to match. Since I used a iCloud.com as my Apple ID I can’t switch it. If that the case I may just was an alias as my email for that account.
