Album name does not show up in imovie project search in Imac

A "project search" is done with the search box at the top of the the project browser view screen (where your projects are displayed as icons). It would show projects, not albums. Are you saying that the Photos album names do not display when you click on the Photos item in the iMovie sidebar, and then My Albums in the categories tab? When you do that procedure the albums should display by name in the media browser. You should be able to search by album name in the search box (labeled with the "Q:") above and to the right the media browser screen.


If the above is not happening on your iMac, try deleting preferences. Open iMovie while holding down the Option and Command keys and selecting to delete preferences in the box that appears. iMovie will open in a new library. Reopen

your old library to get back to your projects. Now see if your Album name displays.
