New iPad Pro 12.9 and magic keyboard purchased and space bar doesn’t consistently work. Anyone have any ideas? It freezes and doesn’t detect anything so I have to remove the iPad to use the touch screen. This isn’t what I expected from my new toy. Only 24 hours old so feeling disappointed

Take it back where you got it and ask for an exchange. If the space bar isn’t working, then the keyboard is probably defective and should be exchanged.

Try this:
Setting >Accessibility > Keyboards > full Keyboard Access > commands
remove “space bar” from the “activate” field.
I bought it from verizon and they shipped it to me so should i ship it back or should i bring it to an apple store
