FaceTime rings but I can’t answer

How to fix a ringing message that has no way of answering the call. Other than hearing the chime for an incoming call, I see no evidence of who is calling until the caller times out. Then it shows the missed call and my contact turns red to indicate the missed call

Hello,

Try signing out of FaceTime in Settings > FaceTime then sign back in.
