How to enable HDR mode in MacBook Pro?

I got the 16" MacBook Pro, which according to this article Play HDR video on your Mac - Apple Support, it supports HDR video on its native display. In the article, it says to turn the HDR mode by going to System Preferences -> Displays and checking the HDR checkbox. However, it's not an option on my computer, as pictured below:

I'm also running the latest version of macOS (10.15.5). Could you please help me out?

It seems this would appear only with an external monitor attached—your screen shot shows Built-in Retina Display.

When an external display tells your Mac that it supports HDR10, your Mac might automatically enable HDR for that display. You can also enable or disable HDR in Displays preferences.

please advise...

Hello oestrada95.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. I understand that you want to enable HDR video on your MacBook Pro, but don’t see the option to do so. I’m happy to help.

To ensure that your MacBook Pro is compatible with HDR video, please go to Apple Menu (upper lefthand corner of the Mac) > About This Mac and below the macOS version which MacBook Pro and year is listed.

Let me know the results.

Take care.
