Not sure if this is appropriate for this thread. When I add the Google account back in everything works until I receive a message on that account and select the Google Inbox, then mail shuts down again. Maybe a corrupted message in that account? Any idea how to delete without accessing the inbox?
What happens if you launch Mail while pressing the shift key? (This forces mail to open without re-opening any windows that may have been open previously and which might be causing a problem.)
Many thanks. Problem solved.
Much obliged
Good!
No different. Immediately shuts down
This allowed mail to open, but as soon as I selected an Inbox it shut down again. Ideas?
I deleted and reinstalled the email account and everything was fixed
Thanks - that did it! Seems that my Gmail account was corrupted.
Glad it worked
Can you access that email account from another device -- iPad or iPhone -- and delete message there?
Thanks again - that seems to have fixed it. After I deleted the messages I sent myself an email to that account and it seemed to work properly, so I hope I'm good this time.
