Oh one more thing. I did do a search for a downloaded. So many come up. Some had spyware and all these things that were gonna download to my computer with the download I did one and now I can’t delete it cuz it says it’s using plugins whatever that is. I didn’t know which one to choose. So that’s why I wanted
to ask someone who is familiar with this type of thing. Like I said I’m not that technically edu.
so thanks you have helped me immensely!

Please use Safari to access the following links Firefox will not work
How to upgrade to macOS High Sierra - Apple Support
Go To Section 4 and click on Get macOS High Sierra
Before upgrading make a full back up of your Mac.
Check that third party apps you use have updates available for the new OS.
Check that your printers/ scanners etc have updated drivers and software available for the new OS.
Connect your mac to your router via cable rather than rely on WiFi.
Do not use your mac while it is downloading
and do not use any other devices that share the same internet connection.
If the App Store says Open then it is detecting a previous download of the install app
go to the Applications folder locate Install macOS High Sierra.app.
Move it to the Trash, empty the Trash.
Restart, click on the link again, the App Store should say ‘Get' or 'Download'.
The reason I am doing this download is that I need download program to download videos from You tube that is compatible with OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 I would rather just download that then a whole operating system. So if anyone knows of a safe program to do that I would greatly appreciate it!
Thank you
Why are you asking about upgrades if you do not want to.
Have a look at this it is free, but really you could have done a simple search for yourself.
Thank you so much for the downloaded. The reason I’m skeptical about downloading a new operating system is that I’m not that technically educated. I DJ. I need
my computer all the time. If
i run into an issue and
my DJ program wont
work with the new operating system I’m screwed. But I am thankful you showed me how to do it. I know I will eventually need to. So I’m keeping the information you gave me. Again thank you for responding.
Only ever download apps from the App Store or directly from the apps developer website.
Never use third party websites to download apps, that's where the adware/ malware can be introduced.
now this app you downloaded and you say you can't delete because it is using plugins. Did the app come
with an uninstaller. If not then you should contact the developer and see if they have uninstall instructions
on their webpage.
