What is the highest resolution output through the built-in headphone jack with the internal DAC? Is it worth it to use an external USB DAC to increase sample rate? Some people say online that the 2019 MacBook Pro caps out at 96kHz. For example, when I listen to Tidal at 192kHz, am I actually hearing that or is it only coming out of the headphone port at 96kHz?

With MacBook Pro notebooks, since 2016, the analog/digital audio ports were replaced with a standard analog headphone jacks with sample rates of 44.1, 48, 88.2 or 96 kHz. 192 kHz was only available for certain MBP models for digital audio.

Just so I'm understanding, a NextDrive Spectra X DAC will actually yield more quality (max of 384kHz/32-bit) through the USB-C port? Sorry, maybe this is obvious, but I just want to be sure before I look at buying anything.
