I use Visa card for my Apple Music subscription. Now I have added a MasterCard to my account and have reordered the Visa card to be second on the list. Can it be removed without affecting my Apple Music trial period?

I used a Visa card for my Apple Music subscription which I’m still enjoying a 6months trial period but I recently updated my payment method by adding a MasterCard. Now MasterCard is on the top of the list whiles the Visa card has been reordered to the bottom. Since Apple attempts to charge from the card on the top, can I remove the Visa card without my Apple Music 6 months trial period being affected ?

According to: Change, add, or remove Apple ID payment methods - Apple Support:

"Remove a payment method

Tap Edit, then tap the Remove icon  or swipe left and tap delete.

Change the order of your payment methods

Tap Edit, then use the move order icon  to rearrange your payment methods. Apple will attempt to charge payment methods in order from top to bottom. You can't change the order in which Apple ID balance is charged."

It appears as if that is possible. Be sure to let us know what happens.

If you are not confident with that answer, please refer to the last paragraph in that Support Article:

I would say that you can remove the Visa card, but I am only offering my opinion. The way I interpret that article, is that you only need one verified card which is displayed in:

Remove or reorder

...for an active subscription.

Since I can only provide an opinion, and not an official response, that is why I suggested that you "Contact Apple Support

Thank you. But it seems there’s more to that. What I wanted to know was that after reordering my payment cards( my Visa card which I used for Apple Music and for which I’m still enjoying the trial period has been ordered to the bottom with a new MasterCard on the top) can I remove the Visa card from my Apple ID without my trial period being affected ?
