Text Replacement

Can "Text Replacement" be turned off on a specific device? (Mac)

This is great on my phone but I do not want to use it on my Mac.

You can disable text replacement on an app-by-app basis by having the app open(let's say Safari), then up in the menu clicking the Edit > Substitutions then unchecking Text Replacement.
