Hello Shreya,


India uses a GSM cellular Network and so does Australia. Your iPhone is working in India and therefore will work in Australia. Just make sure that your iPhone is not locked to your current carrier and you will be fine. Good Luck with your move to Australia.

I am assuming that you are talking about Carrier Locked / Unlocked.


The easiest and the quickest way to check this is by inserting another carrier's SIM card in your iPhone. If your iPhone then is able to make and receive calls AND use data then your iPhone is Unlocked. If your iPhone cannot do the above or displays NO SERVICE then your iPhone is LOCKED to the carrier whose SIM card is currently working.
