How can I remove an old wifi network

It keeps popping up

Go to System Preferences > Network > Wi-Fi (which is usually the top item of the list to the left) Click on Advanced... in the lower right corner. Select Wi-Fi again as the top tab. In the list box beneath is all the Wi-Fi networks you've ever connected to. If you need to add one, click the + button just below it. If you want to remove one for some reason, select the network from the list and click the minus sign. It will give you a confirmation dialogue at the top, click Remove.
