Quicktime Player

Hi,

I created a screen recording for staff in my organisation to view at home. They are watching from Macs and computers using Windows. Many of them Both Mac and Windows users) are able to view the video, but many are not. The video was created on my Mac and saved as a .mov file.

When you go to open the file it saysQ

Can anyone help?

Can Quicktime record Comcast Video? Mac Book Pro 10.15.6 Quicktime 10.5 I use Comcast. Have recorded a "video" specifically Mad Max - Fury Road, that was available for "free" on a Comcast channel. I can view it on my Mac Book Pro using the Comcast web site. But when I try to use Quicktime to record a minute or so of the video, all I get is a totally dark image. I have even diminished the screen size of the video and put it along side of my desktop - Quicktime records my desktop actions but the video pane remains dark. Is there some sort of IP, copyright or whatever going on? If so, I understand but how does QT even know?

can't open a .mov file in QuickTime Player Have a brand new iMac, using macOS 10.15.6, and on my iPhone 11 MaxPro everything is up to date. But I took 3 short videos on my iPhone, uploaded it to my Mac via Air Drop, but when I click on it in my Mac, it says the file "isn't compatible with QuickTime Player." How can that be?

With what version QuickTime and macOS was this media file created?

Does it have H.264 video and AAC audio (codecs)?

Please look in the More Info section, not in the General section. Click the triangles on the left side to open and close each section.
