On my iPhone 7 i got a activation error when sending a message on imessages and when I tried to sign in on imessages in settings it said Activation error please try again. I had no idea what to do after that and none of the youtube videos helped me at all.

No. If you have an active SIM, or can borrow one, put it in that phone, activate FaceTime and iMessage, then remove it. You will also need a SIM if you ever have to restore or update that phone.

If you don't have a carrier that is why it is failing. Activation sends a text message for confirmation with the iPhone.
I already did all of those and non of them work and I don’t have a carrier so I don’t think I can do the last step
So there is no other way that I can fix it?
