Apple Watch cellular requirements
Hello. I am considering buying an Apple Watch with cellular connection .Apparently you do not need a new SIM card for it, would I need to pay extra on my phone data plan to add my apple watch?

No the cellular version of the watch has a built in E-sim that uses the same number as your phone,you pay a monthly fee on top of your existing contract,at the moment it's about $10 per month in the US.
On your phone bill you see the watch as a different number but this is just for billing purposes.
