iPad 1st generation

Hi I’m looking at getting a first generation iPad for my kids, so they can play games and FaceTime me during their vacation. Is the first generation Too old to download games or will it work ok.

There are NO compatible apps, ANY LONGER for the 10-year old, 2010, 1st generation iPad.

None!

All support for this model iPad ended in 2016-2017.

Look at much newer iPads that, at least, support iOS 12.4.7.

Like the 2013 iPad Air 1 or iPad Mini 2 or the 2014 iPad Mini 3.

OR

Look at older iPads that support the latest iPadOS 13.5, like 2014 iPad Air 2, 2017 5th or 2018 6th gen iPads

OR

The newest, cheapest, baseline 2019, 10.2 inch screen 7th gen Apple iPads.

In addition, if you search online and look at various, reputable online Apple device resellers, you can usually find this 2019, 7th gen iPad at discounts of between $60 U.S.D and $100 U.S.D. depending on storage size and whether it is a WiFi ONLY model or a WiFi/cellular data model.

Best of Luck to You!
