Question: Texting a Contact Group created in icloud

I have created a group using icloud on my pc. When I go to contacts on my iPhone I can see the group and all the members. However, I can't use the group to send a message. When I type the group name in a new message, it doesn't show up. How can I use this group?

iPhone 11 Pro

Did you find an answer to this? I’m having the same problem too. I created a contact group for my staff but can’t figure out how to use it to send a text.
