Free Adobe Reader for new Mac OS Catalina operating system

I have updated my Mac Book Pro to the OS Catalina operating system and can no longer use Adobe reader. I want a free version so I can read old files on my computer and read view and save new documents. I go thttps://get.adobe.com/reader/ and the only option I see is Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Pro Free trial which requires a paid subscription.
