Iphone Product Red / Silent Mode Switch is Orange

I know someone has asked this question before, but the replies were closed so here it is ...

What is the solution for marking when the silent mode button is on or off? Since the phone is red, it's not possible to see the orange strip marking the Silent Mode.

NO, I don't want to remember on which side it's on or off, if this were the case, why have the orange strip in the first place?

I am buying Apple products specifically for the ease of use. Please APPLE, can we find a solution for this before I start scratching my phone to marg the ob/off button?

Hello diacarmen,

Thanks for reaching out on the Apple Support Communities. From your message it sounds like you'd like to know in which position the switch is for Silent mode and for Ring mode.

I happen to have an iPhone XS Max, and the side of it is the same silver color that the switch is. The switch blends in with the side of my iPhone XS Max it when it's in Ring mode. With a (PRODUCT)RED iPhone, when the the switch is in Ring mode, you should see some silver showing below the switch. When the color above the switch seems to blend in with the side of the (PRODUCT)RED iPhone, it would be in Silent mode. This article will show you the different colors you can expect to see for Ring and Silent modes: How to put your iPhone on vibrate, ring, or silent mode.

If you'd like to leave suggestions regarding any features you'd like to see down the road, you can do so on the Feedback page: Feedback - iPhone - Apple.

All the best.
