How can I remove personal contacts from my work iphone if using the same AppleID?

I have a new iphone 8 for work and it was set up using my AppleID. How can I remove my personal contacts from my work iphone, and keep only work related contacts on it?

Stop syncing Contacts with iCloud and then manually delete the personal contacts.
