Connecting to wrong network

Since installing OS 10.15.5 my MacBook Pro no longer automatically connects to my selected wifi network. My preferred network is 5GHz, but it always connects to the 2.5GHz network. Is this a widespread problem? Is there a fix?

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 10.13

Move your preferred network to the top of the list in network preferences.
