Erasing data on an iPhone if it will not turn on

What if my phone dies (Apple said my "logic board" crashed) and there is no way to turn it on to erase it, how do I erase all of the data on it before sending it in?

Thank you!

Obviously you cannot as you can’t do anything with a device that won’t even power on and boot to iOS. But odds are, that data is unrecoverable now anyway, if the device has catastrophically died like that.

And Apple is just going to recycle it for materials anyway. Your data was hardware encrypted anyway, so it would be unrecoverable even from such a damaged device.
