Apple ID email

Hey peoples, I want to change where my receipts and such go. I've been having this apple ID for a very long time and the email address is no longer active but of course the apple ID is. I Have a considerable amount of devices and wasn't necessarily looking to replace the apple id with a current email, just trying to get alerts and such to go to a current email. If I have to I will, just trying to keep it simple. Thoughts?
