You don't need to run a Terminal command. Automatic Login is set in System Preferences > Users & Groups > Login Options. You have to Click the lock to make changes.
FWIW, there is nothing greater than Catalina at the moment.

At the moment there is nothing greater than Catalina, but I will be interested in doing this again when there is a greater version.
I am aware of the GUI means of enabling automatic login. I am not interested in how to accomplish that, hence why I asked "without the GUI." Previously I was able to run a command to enable it from Terminal and it does not seem to work the same way anymore.
