Where is the freaking download button/link on the page in the App Store?

High Sierra is still available from the App Store.

To click on the link below use the Safari browser, Firefox will not work.

How to upgrade to macOS High Sierra - Apple Support

Go to Section 4 and click on Get to macOS High Sierra.

This will redirect you to the App Store High Sierra page.

It should say Get or Download.

It appears that the “download” button changes to an “open” button when the download has been downloaded. Operator error on my part which was contributed to by weak/absent description on Apple’s site (convoluted and difficult to use) concerning the difference between the “combo update” and the “full” update ... which I had to learn from a non-Apple forum.
