Sound Waves not showing in GarageBand

Two of the tracks I've recorded in GarageBand aren't showing the sound waves or playing the sound back on the master track. The first image is the initial recording. The second is the same track in the master track. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Why isn't GarageBand recording sound? GarageBand is not recording sound for me. I have tried all of the input and output combination, I have checked preferences, and made sure the track isn't muted, but it looks like the sound isn't even registering. I cannot hear upon playback, but it also doesn't display a waveform for the sound — it appears to be empty. I have included a screenshot of this. I would appreciate your help.

Garageband changes audio file's tempo on import Every track that I import into Garageband is sped up automatically. No pitch change, just the tempo. For example, a 3 minute audio file is dropped into a new project, and is changed to 53 seconds, automatically. What is going on??

GarageBand Unwanted Pulsing Noise In Background Hi, When I create almost any track in GarageBand I hear a low pulsing noise in the background and I have no clue how to remove it. It really annoys me and ruins what I'm working on. I tried messing with the controls and EQ, but nothing seems to work. Please Help.
