Dissatisfied with Apple Support with my recent experience

I ordered 2 ipads recently and one of which was received with manufacturing defect, i.e. the volume button was not working which I noticed after like 20 days. And according to them i passed the 14 days return/exchange period and they are not ready to help on anything on that. Very disappointed.

I was used to be their happiest customer but now want to deactivate all my apple devices. Extremely unhappy with the support.

This is unfair to pay full price for a faulty product.

Its also covered by a standard one year warranty. If it broke of its own accord and you had nothing to do with it.... Apple will still service or replace the device for free, based on a physical exam of the device. So what if you are outside of the return period.... that's what warranties are for.

Whilst it may not be applicable in your case (it would largely depend upon when you initially engaged with Apple), the 14-day “no questions asked” return period was generously extended pending reopening of Apple Stores.

Perhaps this information could be helpfully used to some advantage when speaking with Apple.

I purchased from online Apple store UAE for 2 main reasons 1) engraving on ipad and 2) good support on the product. But it now turns out to be useless. I was getting same ipad on other online shops at 25% cheaper price. I contacted their support, this was escalated to a manager too but they are quite adamant and they are not ready to help and according to them they cant go against their rules which is 14 days are over. But they have really made a happy customer very unhappy.

Notwithstanding any warranty, in the described circumstances and assuming that you purchased directly from Apple, you have two options.

1) Contact Apple Support - and politely ask for escalation to a manager with whom you can discuss the problem. The link to Contact Support is at top-right of this page.

2) Use Apple’s feedback pages to record your dissatisfaction. If using the feedback pages, you are unlikely to receive a reply.

I hope you find this to be of some help in communicating your concerns to Apple.
