You did not purchase memory.

You purchased iCloud Storage. Which lives in an Apple server somewhere, not on your phone. As such it has no effect on the physical storage on your phone.

If you need more physical storage you will need to delete photos and other content from your iPhone. There is no way to increase the storage space on an iPhone.

you bought more icloud memory to backup or sync, not for internal memory.
