There is no audio on my iPhone when I connect my iPhone to a monitor using hdmi - i am using a lightning to digital av. I have tried it with a website YouTube and the music app and it does not work. Monitor has been adjusted to no headphones so that’s not the issue. How do I get sound out of my IPhone in this situation?

First we would need to isolate if it's the Adapter, HDMI cable, TV or iPhone. Attempt scenario on different TV, HDMI cable, anyone else's iPhone or iPad to narrow down the issue. Restart iPhone and TV. Check the port to make sure all pins are clean. Ensure when plugging the iPhone into the TV, that the volume is up on iPhone when the video starts to playing.
