Hi, I have a two year old MacBook Pro with 512GB storage running latest OS. I noticed that half of this space has been used already (I am only a business user, no great creative activity) so I looked at the breakdown of the storage used; 177GB of the 214GB used is under 'Other'. I have tried the various online suggestions to reduce this but none seem to have much impact.
Can anyone help me?

I have solved the problem: It is the email logs. It took some finding and this support post gave credibility to deleting the giant files:
