Added movies to the new Catalina Apple TV Not Showing Up For All Users

In Mohave and before, our family of four all shared the same iTunes folder (which is on an external drive connected to the MacMini). After updating to Catalina, all four users still have the new Apple TV app pointing to the iTunes folder located on the external drive . . . great.

Logged into my user, I just added a couple of movies, which appeared fine in the Movie area of Apple TV. But when the other three family members signed into their accounts, the new movies didn't show up. To get them to show, I had to manually "Import" each movie in each of the three other accounts . . . crazy. Any suggestions?

Thanks so much for your quick reply. This support article kind of addresses the issue . . . I will have to try it on the MacMini when I get home tonight. But it seems strange that the other family members would need to "download" the movie again . . . where's it going to be stored? The two movies that I added are already put in the proper place on the external drive. Multiple downloads of every piece of media would be a colossal waste of space.

Choosing "Import" from each of the different users made them available, but I don't want to have to do that for every piece of music / movie that we get.
